What Is Interferential Therapy?
Interferential Therapy (IFT/IFC) is a form of electrotherapy used for physical benefits. There are different settings on the machine providing the current and your therapist will adjust it according to your needs and comfort level. That part of the skin may feel warm, and you may notice the affected muscles contracting and releasing during the session.
Depending on the severity of your condition, an IFT appointment may last for between 5 and 20 minutes. Once the session is done, the pads will be removed, and the gel wiped away before you will be released from your appointment.
